5th Grade Honor Choir Audition Info

What is Honor Choir?

The Columbia Fifth Grade Honors Choir is an auditioned choir made up of fifth grade singers from each elementary school around the Columbia district. The choir meets at West Middle School on Tuesdays after school and performs at various events in Columbia. The choir usually travels to one out of town event as well. If selected to participate in the Honor Choir, it is a commitment to attend rehearsals and concerts.

How does the audition process work?

The audition process for the 2018 – 2019 school year is beginning. Each Columbia school will be allowed to send a small percentage of fourth graders to audition. Therefore, Mrs. Dexheimer tries to select the best candidates to represent Fairview. Fourth graders will be taught the audition pieces during music class and will audition during music class with Mrs. Dexheimer in the spring if interested.

Adam and Holman's classes on Tuesday, April 3.

Webb and Grannemann's classes on Friday, April 6

Mrs. Dexheimer will then choose a small group of fourth graders to attend the actual auditions on April 24 at West Middle School.  For more info, please email Mrs. Dexheimer.
