The Fairview Songbirds is made up of 4th and 5th grade singers. The choir is an extracurricular ensemble that rehearses for forty minutes once a week outside of the school day. Each year 100 to 150 students choose to participate in the ensemble. This is roughly seventy-five percent of the enrolled fourth and fifth graders. The choir performs a variety of music ranging from traditional choral selections to current popular music.
The Fairview Songbirds have been invited to perform at the 86th annual Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA) conference. Performing at MMEA is a tremendous honor and an experience the Songbirds will never forget.
